Building a scalable analytics platform for Aeras Aviation
Aeras Aviation already had basic Power BI reporting in place, but the setup was limited and could not scale. Sequence7 moved them off Power BI and rebuilt the analytics foundation from the ground up, centralising ERP data, building ETL pipelines, and delivering a live platform across seven departments.

A reporting setup that couldn't keep up with the business
Aeras Aviation was already using Power BI, but the existing analytics setup was very basic. The dashboards were useful at an early stage, but they were not built on a scalable data structure.
As the company grew, reporting became harder to maintain, harder to trust, and harder to expand across departments.
Main issues
- Data coming from Quantum (ERP) and other operational sources
- Basic Power BI dashboards with limited scalability
- Manual reporting processes across departments
- Data that needed cleaning, normalisation, and structure
- No centralised data foundation for future analytics
- Limited visibility across sales, logistics, finance, repairs, and operations
The data foundation came first
Before building dashboards, we worked on the data layer. Centralising operational data, building ETL processes, cleaning and structuring it into a reliable reporting foundation, then building a custom analytics platform on top.
The dashboards, built on clean data
Each view is powered by the same centralised, structured data layer, giving every department a consistent, reliable picture of the business.

Executive snapshot: live KPIs, sales by type, conversion, and performance trends.
Seven departments, one data foundation
Each module was built on the same centralised, structured data layer, so insights are consistent across the business.
Sales
Live visibility into sales activity, pipeline, and performance.
Finance
Normalised finance data and clearer financial reporting.
Inventory
Stock levels, part numbers, condition codes, and aging.
Operations
A consolidated view of activity, workload, and throughput.
Logistics
Reporting on movement, delays, and logistics performance.
Repairs
Repair activity, workload, pending items, and turnaround.
Management
Vendor spend, team performance, and company-wide KPIs.
How the project was delivered
Five phases, from data discovery to department-level deployment.
Data Discovery
We reviewed how Aeras Aviation's teams were using Quantum (ERP), Power BI, Excel, and internal reporting workflows.
Data Centralisation
We centralised the operational data needed for reporting and analytics.
ETL & Data Cleaning
We cleaned, transformed, and structured the data so it could support reliable dashboards and future analytics modules.
Analytics Development
We built the custom analytics dashboards on top of the new data foundation.
Testing & Deployment
Dashboards were reviewed with the relevant departments, adjusted based on feedback, then deployed into the production environment.
From basic reporting to a scalable analytics platform
Aeras Aviation moved from a basic Power BI setup to a scalable analytics platform built on centralised, structured data.
The new platform gave the company stronger visibility across departments, reduced manual reporting work, and created a foundation that can grow with the business.
It also did something nobody could do before: with the ERP data cleaned, centralised, and connected through the ETL pipelines, the capital frozen across inventory and repairs became visible for the first time. That's how the $5M+ in frozen capital was uncovered.
Key outcomes
- $5M+ in frozen capital uncovered, made visible by the clean data layer
- Scalable analytics foundation
- Centralised Quantum (ERP) reporting
- Cleaned and structured operational data
- More reliable, custom-built dashboards
- Reduced manual reporting
- Better cross-department visibility
- Stronger foundation for future analytics and automation
More than dashboards
A real data foundation for aviation operations
For Aeras Aviation, the goal was not just to patch up the old reporting. It was to move off Power BI and create a scalable analytics platform built on clean, centralised, and reliable data. Sequence7 handled the data engineering, ETL, reporting layer, dashboards, and automation needed to support the company's growth.
